They said there wouldn't be a sequel.
But we are talking about the Weinstein's here, so it has to be taken for what it's worth. And proving that they are going back on their word is the releasing of the poster for the sequel to
Rob Zombie's
Halloween remake.
The film, which is currently in production, is being released on August 28th. Picking up moments after the last one ended, like the original sequel did, it's assumed that this one might also involve some action taking place in the hospital as the aftermath from his rampage unfolds.
Returning for the sequel are
Sheri Moon Zombie,
Danielle Harris,
Daeg Faerch and
Scout Taylor-Compton. They are joined by
Chris Hardwick and
Matt Bush.
Above are pictures that Rob Zombie has just posted of Scout Taylor-Compton as Laurie Strode. As you can tell it seems that the film is going to be following in the footsteps of the original sequel and will take place, at least partially in the hospital. It will be interesting to see what happens with Danielle Harris, as her character died in the original Halloween but lived in the remake.
