Quoted: Channing Tatum on Military Roles

Channing Tatum, currently starring in Dear John, has a body of work that consists of many military roles. While recently talking with the actor about playing soldiers he said, "You have to love your characters and I love every single one of the soldiers that do what they do. I don’t, even for a second, try to give an illusion that I even know half of what it feels like to be a soldier ’cause I don’t know. I have no clue and I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been one will ever know. I just try to really wear the clothes right and sling the gun right and not try to make them look like an idiot."

Gizmo is Ready for Another Feeding

Blog MarketSaw exclusive says that sources have told them that a new Gremlins film is in the works. The third entry in the comedy horror series is still in the early development stages -- which means it has many obstacles to clear before hitting movie screens.

Due to the early status of the film, no plot details are available. However, the site does say that plans are for the film to be done in 3-D.

Joe Dante, who directed the original film in the 80s, may also be back behind the camera for this latest installment.

Portman to Slay Zombies in a Corset

This is probably old news to some people, but I just finished reading the book so it's still of interest.

Lionsgate has gotten the film adaptation to Seth Grahame-Smith's surprise hit Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The company even has gotten Natalie Portman to sign as both star and producer for the horror movie mash-up.

Portman will play Elizabeth Bennett in the film version, which IMDB has David O. Russell listed as the director. The story is based on Jane Austen's comedic classic, but with the added carnage that comes along with zombies.
