The Simpsons may have hit their peak awhile ago, but they aren't going anywhere. Fox has just ordered two more seasons worth of episodes to bring the show's grand total to 493. The show, which began airing in 1990, will unseat Gunsmoke as the longest running show in television history.While The Simpsons will be on the air longer, Gunsmoke still will have more episodes with over 600.
