Anne Hathaway should be either really flattered (if she's a fan of the show) or ready to bitch slap the writers (if she hates it) of Gossip Girl. The reason? GG is doing a take on her very public relationship with Raffaello Follieri -- the man convicted of fraud, money laundering and pretending to know the Pope.In the season ending story, Serena (Blake Lively) will get into a love triangle with a European socialite named Gabriel. The role is being played by Armie Hammer, who was previously in the running to be apart of Warner Bros. defunct Justice League film.
According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello the storyline is going to go much darker than the real life counterpart and it will also be the catalyst to bring back everyone's favorite bad girl Georgina (played by Michelle Trachtenberg).
